scouting and other questions...

after watching the recent video with the new game coming out I see they mention alot about the scouting aspect which raises a questions, when you are looking at scouting, the money you spend on it, the reports that you request ect....is it only beneficial when it comes to the draft? or is there something else that i might not be seeing?

The manual is a great place to get information

https://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com...&page=scouting

The page on Scouting Directors probably has the information most directly related to your question

Scouting is beneficial for knowing how good players in your organization are, how good players in other organizations are, how good draft prospects are and how good international free agents are. Scouting affects the ratings that you see for a player throughout his entire OOTP "life".

It's not just for the draft, it's for everything, all players. From what I can gather from the video, the more $$$ you put into it, the more reports you'll receive, which equates to more accuracy in the reports.

You may want to up the amount of Scouting on the draft pool for the 2 months before the draft, then you'll have fairly accurate reports for the draft pool.

Once the draft is over, you can shift your Scouting focus elsewhere as needed. Maybe IAFA's, or International Leagues if you have them.
