1987 ProCards template

With a huge assist from klavier and some great help from TribeFanInNC, I've made the 1987 ProCards set. It's not perfect (a little bit of bleeding in the team color areas that somebody with more know-how is more than welcome to tweak), but it's pretty nice for a first attempt.

This is what I was trying to reproduce:

And this is the final result:

Two more replies down...

If anyone uses this, let me know how the set works in OOTP14 and 13. I still have 11, so your mileage may vary.

Glad everything worked out. The examples look great.

Is it possible to download from 4shared without signing up? Another option is the ootpmods site or since it's only 14k you can attach the file to your post.

Okay, I'll try attaching it, then. I also e-mailed the OOTP Mods site to submit it, and just attached it to the e-mail.

I didn't know you had to join that site to download from it. I knew you did to upload to it, but that's normal.

Only five views? Gee, don't trip over yourselves rushing to download it..

But that's cool, I knew this was a "niche" set when I decided to make it. I figure if even one person besides myself gets some good out of it, it was worth posting. And anything I can use is worth making.

I think I'll try making the 1988 ProCards set next. Care to vote on gold or silver borders, anybody? I'm leaning towards the gold right now.

Patience. It's a holiday weekend and people seeing things we put up takes times.

The template worked fine in v13 and the results looked good. Minor suggestion: put the graphic files inside an images folder in the zip file.

You could use the silver with team logo for default, silver or gold with league logo for allstar and gold with team logo for hof, that way you get both colors in the set.

I know, just joking. But I do realize this is really niche stuff, like the uniforms I make. I mean, how many people who play OOTP use real historical minor league teams? Then, an even smaller percentage want/need to use their actual jerseys. And then, how many want a somewhat obscure 1980's minor league baseball card set's template? Besides me, anyway. I'm guessing the percentages are pretty small.

Then again, in theory I suppose the card templates should be more popular than the jerseys, just because you don't HAVE to use them for 1980's minor leaguers. Which I do, because I'm anal-retentive like that.

But it's all good at this point. The fun's in making/using the stuff for me. Especially using, since the making can be a real pain sometimes!

Sweet! Nice to hear they work in other versions. I might do that with future card sets, especially if they include more than one or two images.

For the borders, that's a good idea, I might go with that.
