Changing player names as a GM
A friend is the commissioner for an online league, and I'm a GM of a team. I am also set to have commissioner access. Having imported the league file, I've made some changes to player names on my team, and want to know the best way of exporting these back to my friend.
First thought was to send the names.dat file to him and have him copy over the existing one, but this did not work. Name changes are reflected properly on my side even after closing and re-launching OOTP17, but not on his side after pasting names.dat file. I made the changes through OOTP17 directly using the Editor tab, and hitting Enter afterward. How do I get these easily incorporated into the main central league on my friend's side of things? Thanks. |

The Commish has to make the changes (edits) in his copy. Next time he uploads a new update and you download, the changes should be reflected.

I suppose technically since I have commish access too, I could make changes locally, then export entire league file over to him, but.. probably not worth it just for name edits. I'll send him a text list of desired name changes; thanks for the reply. |
