"Play Perfect Team" button doesn't work

I have encountered this issue 3x today. I log out of a team, and log into my second team. It shows the team, the simulation day, and even my PP balance, but then when I click on "Play Perfect Team", nothing happens. Nothing at all. No error message. It doesn't freeze (the sim timer continues to count down). It just doesn't recognize the click of the "Play PT" button. This never happened until today, and it's happened 3x today.


What's happening?

It's happening every time I log in or out now. So any time I want to transition from one team to another I have to completely close the game and re-open it. Can this be fixed please?

I'm having this exact same issue.
I also had a separate issue when I went to open a pack, the pack opening animations were shaking and not synched up with the sound effects. Everything was shaking and I couldn't tell what cards I was pulling. I've never experienced these 2 things before until today.

I've found that I have this issue only when one of those annoying pop-ups (e.g. informing us of new content or a sale) appears.

It happens when a popup occurs.

Here's how to reproduce, for the bug fixers:
  • log into OOTP with a promotion active
  • when promotion appears, click the "don't remind me again" checkbox
  • click to dismiss the popup
  • log out of that account
  • log into a different account
  • try to click the "Play Perfect Team" button - it's enabled but will not respond to clicks.
To fix the issue, quit OOTP and re-launch it. Log in with your second account and it works fine.

Yup, exactly like that, and it's only been since this week's popups, too.

Same issue here with pack opening animation and i need to close ootp everytime because i can't swith team with the weekly popup issue.

As Charlatan said, when it does happen, click log out, exit/quit the program & re-launch it in one motion. Never not worked for me. And I only have the one...so you just have to re-boot, kinda like when your comp or network ain't behaving.

Guess this is a minor bug, though.

This happened when they did the special pop up for Memorial Day veterans. Now again when they did the players of the month. There is a 2nd pop up TJs picks. It went away as soon as the pop up was over.

The only way I could get it to work is close the program and re-open it to get the Perfect Team button to work, if I wanted to switch to a different account.

It will work if you check the box to not display the pop up when closing the window. This worked for me, I can switch to different accounts and start Perfect Team.

Same for me. It works for the first team but not when I switch to my next team. It's a real pain if I have to log out, exit OOTP, relaunch every time I want to switch teams.

Since this is a problem for who knows how many thousands of users, I would think that this known problem expressed on these forums for some time now would be fixed by now. But no and apparently no recognition or any sign of effort to get it fixed. I haven't looked at my teams since the problem surfaced. Besides the lack of concern for the consumer base of this product the fact that they can't generate money that some people spend on the game would be motivation enough to fix the problem. Apparently not. This is how companies die. Hey, maybe I'm alone in the frustration but I don't think so. I won't be playing PT any time soon and perhaps never again.

When you are done with your hyperbole, maybe go into the details of the actual ****ing problem a bit. Because it sure isn't happening for me, and less than a handful of people have posted here since it was said to being fixed. It did happen for me early last week, and then it was fixed indeed. I can switch between my teams without closing the actual game.

So! I'm on Steam, Win 10. What about you, besides banging fists on the table in a fit of rage?

Wow. Aren't you the sanctimonious one. And no, I've talked to a fair number of people who have the problem and are just as frustrated. This "game" would hardly cause me to bang my fists on a table. It just doesn't mean that much to me and particularly now. Because you were curious, I'm on Steam as well and was playing on a Mac. All I'm trying to say is that if this was my company, I'd be paying more attention. Take it for what it's worth.
