im retired?

I am coaching and GM of my team for 22 years and I just finished the season and I'm getting ready for the draft , I click next day and I get a pop up saying I just retired. no I didn't. lol...

how did this happen? I had cannot be fired set up. I somehow got forced to retire?

and it was only 2012 and I was only 40 yr old

The automatic retirement was removed this year, but even if it hadn't been, you were nowhere close to triggering it, and that's too early for it to happen. Any chance you might've hit Manager-Retire? They're one menu apart and it's in a similar place to where the sim to draft button is on the Play menu.

No, I've had it happen twice in my simulation in the historical always around 40 too

OK, if anyone has a save where that's happened, we'd definitely like to have a look at it, there isn't anything that should be forcibly retiring you.

I had this happen in my historical sim. It forced me into retirement after 25 years, at the age of 50. Is forced retirement still in play for Challenge mode?

No, it was supposed to have been removed from challenge mode, sounds like something's going wrong here. And if it was the challenge mode retirement, it would be happening at a consistent time.
