Email lags horribly.
Any use of email takes about 10 seconds. Click on email, takes 10 seconds to load. Click on another email, takes 10 seconds to switch. Not only does it lag, but locks the game up.

The iPad 2 is very old (for Apple standards, they don't even support the iPad 3 anymore) but still it should have no problems to open the news screen. My guess is that a graphic (most likely the ">" to show the news) has a wrong size and gets scaled (which I had on another screen and it slowed it down). I just never noticed it on the news screen. Will look into it today.

Overlap problems on the popup menus. Sebastian, are you going to look into fixing the other things mentioned in this thread as well? |

Yes. But e.g. the moved down header in the progress-bar/popup is something I never got right, it is only happening on the non-retina iPad (all other 4 device types work). And keep in mind that sometimes text might not fit 100%, not good but nothing I can do (but I will of course try).

In my opinion, the 2 biggest fixes out of all the bugs mentioned are the laggy emails and the active player list bug mentioned in the OP. The laggy email but can be temp. Fixed by deleting emails after every 5, but that's kind of a pain. |

It seems that older devices have the problem. Makes sense, as they have the lowest specs, so I'm pretty sure that it is some graphic with wrong size getting scaled. As a workaround you can delete older news until the patch is out.

That's exactly what I've been doing. Has eliminated the issue completely. Great game. Loving it.

this may be a design decision rather than a bug but i hope not - when using the Finish This Week button the individual game scores and running Win-Loss totals aren't displaying in the Simulating... popup. as someone who tends to play at GM level the absence of these details here makes the whole thing seem a lot more remote than it did in previous versions so would very much appreciate it if the scores could be restored. this is on ipad air in case that's significant.

a minor presentational bug in game mode - the names of the batting side are too low in the text boxes with the result that names containing letters with descenders overlap the edges of the boxes - see below:

I haven't played a lot yet, but did notice that sometimes you can go over the max value in the player editor. For instance, the Pitching Potential attribute should range from 1-250, but I was able to set it to 251 last night and now for the same player it is 255. I've noticed this on a few other attributes as well.
Along those lines, as an improvement, is it possible to make the values enter-able as opposed to needing to increment them by 1 each time? If I am editing a player who has very low potential (say 100), but want to max the potential it takes a lot of taps to get it there. This isn't serious, but might make things a little easier when using the editor. I look forward to diving into the game a bit more, but have already noticed significant speed increases. Thanks for all of your hard work! |
