The Terriers rallied the final few months of our first season in perfect and ended with a 70-92 record and avoiding relegation. Most of the credit for the turnaround was due to Don Drysdale and Christy Mathewson's ice cream truck hijinx which made all the other Terriers howl in excitement. They also pitched well too.

Hiram College didn't make it into the same league with Brooklyn & Blitzkrieg this week.

Yea, that's disappointing. I'll recheck my settings when I log in.

The starting pitching has been decent, and Christy Mathewson and Garry Maddox have been recognized as key cogs in keeping this franchise in the perfect leagues. They've been sent off to enjoy the all-star festivities.
I will not go into details regarding Justin Turner turning all 4 bases into his own personal fire hydrant because he hit a meaningless solo shot, or Kirby Puckett yanking a sno-cone out of an 8 year old fan's hand for no reason. Trust me, morale is low at the Dog Park. It's borderline unwatchable. |

For the second season in a row the Terriers scraped together a few meaningless wins in the final month to make our 79-83 record look not so bad. In reality, the season was a failure from the start to the end. I've found myself visiting the Dog Park less and less now that the finality of the perfect level is smashing me in the face. At least I enjoyed the slow ride to get there.

The Terriers are 24-30 and somehow scored 2k for a flyball triple play. I guess all our frisbee training has paid off. Anyways, I opened some packs and adopted a new first baseman named Heinie.
Anthony Rizzo has been sent to the pound to make room. |

For the first time in Hiram College history, no Terriers were good enough to attend the all star game. Whatever.
New rule at the Dog Park starting now...... No "suits" from the league office are allowed to pet the pups anymore. Your tps reports are bull**** no matter how many pieces of flair you attach. And yes, I just watched Office Space lol |

Have you tried rubber bones?
I'm trying ice cream as a motivational tool, this month. The kippers stink up the base paths. Suppose that might repel the opposition. More kippers! |

Lol, I've already tried that. The only thing that ever seemed to work was when I allowed the Terriers to run amok in the concession stand. They were devouring raw hot dogs and slurping up nacho cheese and stadium mustard like a bunch of vacuum cleaners. The only problem is they did more damage to the place, offsetting all the points earned for good play, so I don't let them have free-for-alls anymore.

The Terriers finished an unspectacular 74-88 and remain in Perfect. New pup Heinie put up decent numbers in not quite a full season, so he'll be taking over first base on a full time basis moving forward.

The Terriers are once again doing nothing special this season in the perfect leagues except doing excessive barking at random things like shadows and squirrels.
Anyways, it's been awhile since I posted our roster so here it is... Starters: 100 Mathewson 100 DeGrom 97 Drysdale 97 Morton 92 Beckett Bullpen: 98 Sale 96 Papelbon 94 Chapman 92 Bonham 91 Vazquez 89 Betances 89 Cole Lineup: C 90 Hartnett 1b 96 Zimmerman 2b 92 McNeil SS 92 Story 3b 96 Turner LF 79 Brantley CF 87 Maddox RF 87 Puckett DH 90 Cruz Bench: C 70 Munson 2b 89 Altuve SS 66 Aparicio CF 86 Marte The biggest weakness is shortstop where Trevor Story is abysmal and Aparicio doesn't hit. I'd love to pull a historic shortstop from a pack any day now. Also, when I sent Rod Carew and Alex Johnson to the pound a couple weeks ago, I officially have zero players left on my roster from my initial 6 starter packs. |

For the second season in a row, no pups were allowed to attend the all-star game. The league office said some nonsense about my Terriers being flea-ridden and I need to clean up the infested Dog Park. To that I say......how am I supposed to buy flea collars with no all-star points?
Anyways we're 45-54 and only 6 1/2 games back. |

We're 71-79 and still just 5 games back of the division leader. Granted it's an extremely weak perfect league division, but whatever.
I also sold a gold Steve Carlton for 10k so I've got some packs to open tomorrow looking for new Terrier adoptions. And finally.....this |

The Terriers finished 74-88 and will remain in perfect. I'll being trying out 48 potential adoptions in the morning so hopefully we'll find a decent shortstop. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out who chewed up my shoe and dragged it out by third base.

Yep, Brooklyn and Hiram ended up in the AC so we'll probably have a few slugfest series this year. Should be fun

Brooklyn are screwed though. Three megawhales in their division who will happily destroy their hopes and dreams. LCS last week, relegation this week. Now that's a rollercoaster I want to get off of.

I won't get a chance to analyze the league until later, but I'd assume I'll have to play all those teams too lol
