Google Drive File Steam on Mac as Save Directory?
Hey everyone.
Since I play on my laptop and desktop I utilize google drive to sync my save between the two. This worked well until the new Google Drive File Stream application came out and I was forced to upgrade. This new directory caused me to have to change my save path on my desktop, and that worked perfectly. The problem is on my Mac the Drive File Stream folder is not accessible when choosing directory path. Mac OS I suppose treats Google Drive as a "device" like a USB and I cannot select any pathway that leads to it, only my actual hard drive. I know this is pretty niche problem but was wondering if anyone had any success. Not that I'm going to but has anyone used a USB on Mac before and know if that worked? Here are two pictures kind of describing my problem: https://imgur.com/a/xio1G |

not a mac guy, but certain functions are related to networking and they have tohave the ability to do similar funcitons as PCs:
can you map a network drive to google drive's url? (use google search to find potential instructions, they wil be readily available, if possible) create a virtual-link/shortcut to the steam path? search about accessing steam folder on mac - almost certainly a 1-2-3 step process availaible, if possble. if you can't do it i gauranteed others have complained and mapped out a solution. i'd throw my computer through a wall if it didn't let me access a folder, lol. that monkey computer doesn't tell me what to do with my property! (pbbt macs, had to get one jab in.. they think they are smarter than the owner and think they can dictate how you use their product AFTER you buy it.. apple producst are nefarious/sociopathic in nature) if you can find a solution, i think that would be useful to many people, fwiw. make a new post or thread and add some keywords at bottom to aid seaches in future. |
