Beards

Is there a trick to adding beards to existing historic/active facegens?

I've done it in OOTP 12. But in OOTP 13, I tried to add Thurmon Munson's trademark facial hair (I've download the mod so I have about 100 types to choose from) but it tells me I have beards turned off in setup/pictures. I went to the set up and there is a beard type frequency but that would seem to be for fictional players upon creation. Is there a new seperate toggle for the ability to add facial hair to the real people? Thanks.

To use beards/facial hair each beard type has to have a value (number) entered within the beard frequency area, which is located in the fictional picture options within game setup.

The beard frequency affects not only fictional facegens but, photofit (facegen) pictures as well.

There's a setting under the team setup to disallow facial hair for a particular team. Make sure you don't have that on for the team in question.

For some reason OOTP13 seems to act differently than v12. In 12 you could select among all the installed beards when using the "change beard" for a single player even if you did not have a value entered on the settings. Now it seems that a value must be entered in the pictures/facegen setup in order for you to be able to select from the pick list without getting an error.

Is Thurman Munsons different from Bobble's? Can ya post it? I use Bobble's and since some 2012 facgens are slightly off I use facial hair to try to get the players more like their real life counterparts. I set all values to 1 except the 1st 1, No Beard I leave at 70.

Also I didn't know in 12 that you could give someone facial hair even if the values were set to 0. I never had a problem with having to redo the values in 12, massive problems in 11 and a few in 13.

If i recall starting with one of the patches in 12 you had to have a number in the beards %. If not then it would not add a beard. In 13 there is a message telling you so.
