You need to import him from either the MiLB database or the latest Spritze HS DB. If you go through the MiLB database, the code is paige-001ler, and the year you'd want would be 1926 (year before debut year of 1927 because you're bringing him into the draft which happens the year before his actual debut).

I have no problem with a superteam developing. My old Pastime Baseball League (which was really very much the same to the Alltime Baseball League I'm running now) had one team win 4 out of 6 and another win 4 out of 5 including three in a row, with a few other teams mixed in in between. So I liked watching those happen.

My ABL is only in its second season, and may have a repeat champion (I'm doing the Championship Series tonight actually).

My favorite part of doing the cross-era thing is seeing the lineups that develop and imagining it for real.

My Alltime Baseball League just wrapped up its second season. The champion Denver Pilots' batting order starts with quite a top 3: Tim Raines, Roberto Clemente and Ty Cobb!

Off the top of my head, I would say Ken Griffey Jr. for most famous bust, and maybe SP James Burke, or 2B Tillie Shafer for least expected star. Here they are for your perusal:

Looks like typically hot OOTP18 output to me. Although, you are using 1958 stats output, which was a season that featured more HR than I am used to with my 1984 stats output games. You have to remember that 1901 is a 140-game schedule, which means Yogi projects to 53 HR, Mays to 52, and Murray to 51 had you played the typical 162. I always set up my leagues for a 162-game schedule because it's easier to compare across different eras that way. Also, I take it that James Leslie Vaughn = Hippo Vaughn, Spurgeon Ferdinand Chandler = Spud Chandler, and James Otto Carleton = Tex Carleton.

Speaking of this, here's the best team I've ever seen so far in this random debut: The 1914 Brooklyn Robins (109-53, with an Expected Record [based on 774 runs scored/495 runs allowed] of 112-50). They were an incredible team as you can see, but they didn't get past the 2nd place Phillies (the eventual World Series champs) in the first round. As Billy Beane knows all to well, the postseason is one gigantic crapshoot. Look at that 5-man starting staff.

Not one pitcher missed a turn in the rotation. You've gotta be lucky to be good, and good to be lucky I guess.

Thank you, I thought it looked a little hot but was not sure; I like these settings better than yearly progression. They are more satisfying to my eye and sensibilities, also balances the draft pool with the use of relief pitchers. You are correct on the player's names I change them to their given names because I cannot look at a player's profile with Spud or Hippo as the name listed on the page. Call it my OCD in a minor form, I have lots of other idiosyncrasies to deal with....
Get closer to my perfect game going to try at least a couple of more seasons before Monday.

I love yearly progression, but it has to start 1947 or later. I've tried starting in the deadball period and I just can'r rap my head around seeing someone like Richie Sexson or Dave Kingman being a singles. hitter. I tried starting in 1921 and individual home runs were higher, but since OOTP tried to spread the allotted homers over more people, it still wasn't too my liking.
