I swear to God, this game really doesn't want my team to ever get above .500. Lost my first three games, and now I'm 20 in and have gotten to .500 like five times in that stretch, only to lose the next game every time, including two in a row to a 1-10 team. Ugh!

I've made my way back to within 1 game of .500.

Bastards.

I started last season 0-7 after being predicted to win my division. I finished at .430 :'(

The last two seasons I've started have both gone that way, first an alt-world setup with an independent league in which I spent zillions to finish at .500 (like a good version of the original Devil Rays

) and then an MLB season as the Mets where I swear the entire season the Last 10 column read 4-6 or 5-5 for the entire year!

I remember a few seasons back my team stared out 4 - 1 I believe. We then went on to lose 18 games in a row.......by the 12th loss, I actually started rooting for the streak to continue to help me from losing my mind!

No, I am convinced by this and his previous postings that battists is a terrible manager, the worst that I have seen in these forums.

Can't tell you how much better you all make me feel. I'm in the fourth straight well under .500 year with my fictional team after three straight 2nd place finishes. If I didn't have the box checked so I can't be fired. I'm sure I would be long gone by now. I do enjoy it when I get letters of frustration from my owner, knowing he can rant and rave, but I'll still be there next season.

Is this not the place to post that I've won 7 straight division titles?

Admittedly it's only a 4 team division, where two of the teams had their budgets horribly mismanaged, one that can't develop talent if their jobs depended on it (6 GMs in 5 years), and me. Sometimes, Westheim's Raccoons could win that division.
