Reggie Sanders - 1974 Tigers

Among the items that Topps Vault has up for bid right now at Ebay is this sharp Reggie Sanders with the 1974 Tigers. To the best of my knowledge, Sanders never appeared on anything rather than a 4 player rookie card.

Masters Of the "Tools Of Ignorance"

I would like photos of some of the most durable catchers in history, including the current top 10 in games played at catcher, plus former record holders of the last century. in this category who no longer rank in the top 10. In addition I'd like the a photo of the current leader among active players in game s at carcher ,A.J.Pierzynski.

Former record holders of the last century
Deacon McGuire - 1612 games - Played final game at catcher 1912 - established record in the 1900s decade- held record until 1925.
Ray Schalk - 1727 games - held record 1925 - 1940.
Gabby Hartnett - 1793 games held record 1940-1945.
Al Lopez - 1918 games - held record 1945-1987 (MLB career: 1929-1947).
Bob Boone - 2225 games - held record 1987-1993 - First player in history to catch 2,000 MLB games.
Carlton Fisk - 2226 games at catcher - held record 1993-2009. (broken by Ivan Rodriguez).

Top 10:

1. Ivan Rodriguez - 2427 games (record holder since 2009) -(MLB career: 1991-2011).
2. Carlton Fisk* - 2226 games.
3. Bob Boone* - 2225 games - (1972-1990).
4.Gary Carter - 2056 games
5. Jason Kendall - 2025 games
6. Tony Pena - 1950 games.
7. Brad Ausmus - 1938 games.
8. Jim Sundberg - 1927 games.
9. Al Lopez* - 1918 games - held record for 42 years.
10. Benito Santiago - 1917 games.

Current Leader among active players:
A.J.Pierzynski - 1676 games (with 2 games remaining in regular season).

At age 36, Pierzynski currently ranks #19 in MLB history and by averaging 108 games at catcher per season (2/3 of a MLB team's schedule) over the next 3 years, by 2016 and still before reaching the age of 40, he would become the sixth player to join the elite 2,000 games at catcher club.

Also does anyone have a photo of Katsuya Nomura? He has the all-time professional record with over 2,800 games caught in the Japanese Leagues.

Former record holders of the last century
Deacon McGuire - 1612 games - Played final game at catcher 1912 - established record in the 1900s decade- held record until 1925.

Al Lopez - held record 1945-1987 (MLB career: 1929-1947).
Bob Boone - 2225 games - held record 1987-1993 - First player in history to catch 2,000 MLB games.
Carlton Fisk - 2226 games at catcher - held record 1993-2009. (broken by Ivan Rodriguez).

Top 10:

1. Ivan Rodriguez - 2427 games (record holder since 2009) -(MLB career: 1991-2011).
2. Carlton Fisk* - 2226 games.
3. Bob Boone* - 2225 games - (1972-1990).
4.Gary Carter - 2056 games
5. Jason Kendall - 2025 games

8. Jim Sundberg - 1927 games.

10. Benito Santiago - 1917 games.

Current Leader among active players:
A.J.Pierzynski - 1676 games (with 2 games remaining in regular season).

At age 36, Pierzynski currently ranks #19 in MLB history and by averaging 108 games at catcher per season (2/3 of a MLB team's schedule) over the next 3 years he could become the sixth player to join the elite 2,000 games at catcher club.

Also does anyone have a photo of Katsuya Nomura? He has the all-time professional record with over 2,800 games caught in the Japanese Leagues.
Rangers, Marlins, Tigers, Yankees, Astros...
