Unable to Release License

I bought a new computer and want to release the license from the old computer so I can add it to the new computer. However, when I try to do that in the game it says "OOTP was unable to release the license on the license server"

Why is that happening and how do I go about doing this?

IDK why it's happening, but maybe you can email support at eSellerate (depending on where you purchased the game). See post #4 in this old thread. hth
