Western League

Winnipeg advances to the 2nd round of the AHA with a 2-1 win in OT, Lethbridge C Kristian Vernersson took a "Holding the Stick" penalty @ 10:45, & with 0:14 left in the penalty Winnipeg's Ryan Wurst score to send the Warriors on to the next round, it was the only Power Play Winnipeg had all game long... Winnipeg Wins 4-3

Eastern League

Kingston upset he heavily favorited Halifax Wollverines in OT with a 3-2 win to advance to the next round of the AHA playoffs, C Breyden Raffa scored on the only shot in OT to get the win....Kingston Wins 4-3

AHA Playoffs 2nd Round results
Game 1

Western League

Victoria 5 - Yukon 0...Victoria G Cusson stopped all 17 shots he faced to earned his 2 SO of the playoffs

Winnipeg hammered Edmonton 8-3....Winnipeg's C - Comitini had a 5 point night (G -2, A - 3) & D-man Howe (G-2 A-1)have to helps as well for the win.

Eastern League

The 401 Series saw Whitby edge out Kingston 6-4 in front of 19,500 at the Dunlops Arena, "It was a good old fashion hard fought game from the drop of the puck until the finally buzzer" said Whibty coach.

At The Fork in Truro NS Quebec edged out the hometown Bearcats 3-2.

AHA Playoffs 2nd Round results
Game 2

Western League

Victoria 4 Yukon 3 OT. David Novosad scored the winning OT goal on the PP at the 02:27 mark of the 1st OT.....Victoria takes a 2-0 series lead.

Winnipeg 4 Edmonton 2... 2 goals 00:46 apart helped the Warriors take a 2-0 lead in the series, Comitini scoring 2 goals in the win giving him 4 goals & 7 points in the first 2 games...Winnipeg takes a 2-0 series lead

Eastern League

401 series is now tied at 1 game each as the Kingston Aces with 3 goals in the 2nd peroid & 36 save by G Byczynski edge Whitby 3-1

Quebec Aces beat Truro 3-0, Aces goaile Billy Clarke recorded his 1 SO in the playoffs....Quebec leads series 2-0

AHA Playoffs 2nd Round results
Game 3

Western League

Victoria 4 Yukon 3 OT....Lukas Kroupa scores the OT goal at 03:13 of period 1 to give the Victoria Cougars the win and a commanding leading in the series.....Victoria leads series 3-0

Edmonton 2 Winnipeg 1.....Edmonton's LW Karel Vilim scores 2 goals 00:24 apart to help Edmonton to get back into the series.....Winnipeg leads 2-1

Eastern Series

The 401 series now moves to Kingston for game 3, before the morning skate Kingston got some bad news C - Lukas Janicek (9-2-2-4) will miss the rest of the playoffs with a torn back muscle he'll be sideline for 3-4 months, Lukas told radio station CKLC that "I felt some pain late in game 2 but thought it was the hit he receive by 1 of the Whitby players against the boards".
Kingston wins game 3 by a finally score 6-3 to take a 2-1 series lead.

Quebec 1 Truro 0, Aces G Billy Clarke records back to back SO as the aces take game 3 1-0....Quebec leads series 3-0

Yukon kept the season alive by beating the visiting Cougars 1-0, Yukon G - Paul Norlock made 31 saves, to keep the Moose's season alive....Cougars lead series 3-1

Winnipeg hammered the Flyers 7-3 in front of 19,500 @ Winnipeg Field, Edmonton F Jordan Nesbitt ties a AHA playoff record scoring 00:06 at the start of the game, & winnipeg's Ryan Wurst & Liam Corneau scored 11 sec apart in the first period....Warriors lead series 3-1

Eastern League

Kingston Aces beat Whitby 3-1 in Kingston...K - Aces leads series 3-1

Truro did not going down without a fight beating Quebec Aces 7-4....Q-Aces lead series 3-1

Game 5

Western League

The Cougars advance to the next playoff round with a 4-1 win over the Moose in front of 20,000 at the Ocean Spray Arena. Cougars win series 4-1

Edmonton came out flying in the game agaist the Warriors, winning 6-2 to stay alive in the playoffs. Winnipeg leads series 3-2

Eastern League

Whitby thrashed Kingston 7-2 in Game 5, Kingston only had 12 shots on goal, Whitby player Bird had a hat trick in the game...Kingston leads series 3-2

Truro beat Quebec 4-1 in Game 5...Quebec leads series 3-2

AHA Playoffs 2nd Round results
Game 6

Western League

Edmonton ties the series at 3-3 with a 6-1 win over Winnipeg. Flyers player Marchkov had a 4 point game (2-2).

Eastern League

Whitby ties the series with Kingston with a 5-4 win in Double OT, Whitby fired 57 shots in the game with 22 shots coming in the 1st period alone. The 401 series is tied at 3-3.

Truro has won there 3rd straight game to force game 7 at home in Truro with a 6-2 win over Quebec. D-man Chasovschikov had a 5 points (1-4) for the win.

Whitby advances to the next round of the AHA Playoffs with a 3-2 win in OT, Whitby had 50 shots to Kingston 16..Whitby will play either Truro or Quebec for the Eastern League Champion...Whitby wins series 4-3

Quebec Aces hammered the Truro TSN Bearcats 7-2 to advances to the AHA Eastern League Champion. They will now play Whitby for the right to play in the finals....Quebec wins series 4-3

Victoria beat the Warriors 4-3 in game 1 of the Western League Finals.

Game 1 - Eastern League Finals

Quebec takes a lead in the Eastern Final with a 5-4 win, Quebec LW Dylan Licari had a 4 point game (2-2) for the winners.

Defense was the name of game 2 were Winnipeg & Victoria had a combine of 31 shots, with Victoria winning 3-1. Cougars lead series 2-0

Eastern Finals

Whitby came out in game 2 with a mission, throwing 42 shots at the Quebec goalie, winning game 2 with a score 5-1....Series tied 1-1

Game 4 - Western League Finals

Winnipeg stead of elimantion with a 4-2 win over Victoria. Winnipeg's Christian Mayer scored the winning goal in the 3rd period.

Eastern League Finals

Quebec Aces defeated the Whitby Dunlops 6-5 to tie the series at 2 games each. Dylan Licari scored the winning goal with 03:07 left in the game, it was Licari 10th goal of the playoffs

Winnipeg edge out Victoria 3-2 in OT for there 2nd straight win, Winnipeg's scores the winning goal at 15:24 of OT, Game 6 is back in Winnipeg.

Eastern League Finals

Quebec take a 3-2 series lead after a 2-0 win over Whitby, Quebec's G Komandera earn the shutout, it was his 1st of the playoffs. On a side note Komandera was traded by Whitby to Quebec on Feb 1 for D-man Jayden O'Connor. Game 6 back in Quebec,

Game 6 - Western League Finals

Winnipeg Warriors have tied the series at 3 each after a 3-2 win in OT, a boarding call on Victoria's Samuel Martin gave the Warriors a power play with Karl Joly netting the winning goal, sending 19,500 fans home happy. Game 7 is back in Victoria.

Eastern League Final

Whitby upset Quebec in front of 21,500 rocking fans at The Colisee 5-2. Game 7 is back in Whitby.

Game 7 - Western League Finals

In front of pack house of 20,000 fans at Victoria's Ocean Spray Arena, fans were on the edge of there seat all game long, some fans were heard saying "this was one of the best games they saw, with end to end play".
With Victoria up 2-0 with 3:58 left in the game Winnipeg's Karl Joly took a holding penalty, with Winnipeg down 1 man, Winnipeg's Liam Corneau after taken a pass from Luc Quinn and fired a wrist shoot over his blocker for a short handed goal, to cut the score to 2-1.
With 00:03 left in the penalty to Victoria's David Novosad, Winnipeg's Austin Comitini scores with 28 sec left in the game to send it to OT for the 3rd straight game.
After no scoring in the 1st OT, the teams came out for the 2 OT, with 05:30 gone in the 2nd OT Winnipeg's Julien Gagnon send the Warriors to the AHA Finals, Victoria fired 55 shots at G Pavel Kren. After Winnipeg being down 3-0, has won 4 straight games to go to the finals. Winnipeg wins 4-3

Eastern League Finals

Whitby was no match for Quebec, the Aces easily beat Whitby 6-2, in game 7 of the Eastern League Final, now will play Winnipeg Warriors to see who will win the 1st ever AHA championship.

Game 1 - Winnipeg MB

Winnipeg 4 Quebec 2

In front of 19,500 fans at the Winnipeg Field, saw the Warriors storm back from a 2-0 deficit o score 4 unanswered goals in the 3rd period to come back & beat the Aces 4-2.
Winnipeg's LW Michael Bragagnolo lead the Warriors to victory with 2 goals.
It's Winnipeg 5th straight win in the playoffs.

Winnipeg lead series 1-0
