3D Ballparks

I'm excited to see what the "greatly improved 3D stadiums" and players look like! Will 3D stadium files used in previous version still work in OOTP 19?

Yes, previous versions should work. But the new ones are stunning

Will there be any additional fictional stadiums, or historical ballparks?

Fictional stadiums would be very cool. Ideally I would like a future edition to have enough fictional stadiums to match the "800 fictional logos" in 19

All the fictional and historic parks I know of are made by Silvam and modified with backgrounds by me. I don't know if Silvam has any plans for new ones but I am in the process of up dating all of the current ones with day & night backgrounds. When I am finished will them I will up load them and put the link here and, I believe, OOTP will ad them to the add ons and on steam.

God it's amazing how such minor tweaks make such a big difference as to whether or not I'll preorder something. Just put mine in and I'm very excited to play it.

Will we be able to change any imagery inside the 3D parks? For example, if it's the park for a fictional team, putting their logo on the dugout roof, on the scoreboard, etc?

I could be in the market to make some more fictional stadiums this year. Stadiums do involve a tremendous investment in time, which I seem to have less of lately though

Dola,

I’m just as interested to see the improvements in this year’s parks, but I cant say my parks will be anything close with my limited ability with 3d tools

You can already do this in OOTP18 but it involves outside tools like Sketchup etc. We don't have an in-game 3d park editor, though it'd be awesome to eventually make that happen someday.

Lucas Berger,

I wish OOTPB would include minor league-type stadium that seat 5,000-10,000... I play just small venue teams in my dynasty league.

The good stadiums done by Teflon Skies and Henry years ago all seat 35,000 and over.

Sure would be nice if we had small minor league parks to use... most of them don't have many seats in the outfield.

Immersion is really important... stadiums, jerseys, caps. logos really make the game special and not run-of-the-mill.

Yeah I hear you for sure. It's just a matter of our having only so much time and manpower though, and having to set priorities which are always going to be the MLB related stuff, since that's really what drives the game forward.

We are including a whole bunch of newly designed custom logos with the game this year though, around 800 of them iirc. So at least that's something

As I've said, one day I'd like that to be 800 fictional 3D stadiums too

Of course that would make the download and every patch several GB, but still lol.

Know what you are saying... Markus and you guys can only do so much... and the most important elements in the game are the ones that increase the revenue.

Each OOTPB gamer has his favorite part of the game and we all have our ideas of what we need to make our Dream Game come true.

I started with OOTP3... it's truly amazing how far the game has come... I dearly love OOTP18... it is a joy to play.
I hope to soon convert my long-running IPA Dynasty League from OOTP12 to OOTP18... and then to OOTP19.

My dream will come true when the animation and the sound are perfected so I can see all of my league players and teams come to life... I won't play a game then, I'll just sit back and watch it.

Really appreciate you moderators and Beta Team for chiming in and answering our questions.

Did 3D rendering of historical parks like Forbes, Crosley, The Polo Grounds make it in this year?
