I stopped playing after that screen shot and just started simming.
Season 12 had 2 players in FA at the start of the season Season 13 had 6 (first year the FA pool went up) Season 14 had 5 Season 15 had 11 After 15 seasons the the average number of retired players per year is still over 100 but obviously since the original messed up FA pool is mostly if not all retired at this point retirements have dropped dramatically. Even with the lower retirement rates the FA pool going up by 6 isn't enough. Season 17 30 players in FA pool at start of season. It's going up but not really enough. I've started over a half dozen times and I've gotten the league to the point it isn't dying problem now is that the game keeps creating tons of pitchers but no hitters. This is the Spring training before the start of the 7th season.
115 pitchers and only 19 hitters. 125-150 total FA players would be, to me, near perfect for my world IF the incoming players where more evenly divided. Edit: at the All-Star break FA is down to 8 hitters. Still have half a season to go. Edit 2 : 3 games into spring training for 10th season 122 FA players 112 pitchers 11 hitters (no outfielders, a 1B is also pitcher rated) Edit 3: Start of spring training season 11. 81 FA players, 75 pitchers, 7 hitters Last edited by ra7c7er; 05-13-2015 at 12:16 PM. |
