Backup Question

Im not really tech intelligent but I was wondering how you guys protected your computer data? I put all my pics on flashdrives. Other than that id like to only protect OOTP and a couple other games. Should I save OOTP on a flashdrive? zip it maybe? An online backup?

Thanks

I have an X drive and I learned to save my data often. I have redone my league 6 times now because of either OOTP or human error. I know make 2 backups per season and i move those over to my XD. I save my league files, ie logos, uniforms once per season. My Fg files that I make i save to the XD whenever i make new ones the rest I can re download.

I use a combination of flash drive and external hard drive (the latter being much too rarely used, come to think of it). In both cases, what I do is zip the backup copy so that only one file needs to be addressed in copying to either flash drive or external hard drive. Saves a lot of time compared to copying thousands of text files individually, one at a time.

More on what Bru said. I majke a backup at least twice perseason and i am glad i have begun to do so. I had an issue where players from all years 2005 - 2011 where showing up in my 2005 season but I was missing over 150 players from the 2005 season. My last backup prior to 2005 rookies coming in was prior to the start of the 2004 season. I just finished simming the3 2004 season and all 206 rookies are in the game this time. I make a backup then copy the .dat files into another folder on my Xdrive and zip them labeled when i did the backup. I am tired of starting this league over & over.
