Fictional players with full history?

One thing I'd like to see, would be a way to create a league (in my case based on MLB) but with fictional players, with full stat histories. I don't like starting my league with a bunch of 30+ year old players without stat histories.

Currently, I've been creating a new league with the year set in the past. Then, I'll spend hours simming enough time to "clean out" the original batch of players and for a new generation (or two) that have histories to be created.

Seems like this could be streamlined during league creation.

Yeah, I think something like a "Generate fictional history" option would be quite cool, especially if it included league evolution options. Most likely it would take quite a long time to generate though.

It seems to me the way around this is to create your league 30 years before the the year you intend to start and sim up to your start date. Then you will have 30 years of history.

This is what I do. I guess I was hoping for easier and faster.

I do the same so I have a history and can also pick out the worst team to GM as a challenge.

I don't think people would really have any idea what that would actually mean to program in. Unless it was a quick start with full histories, 30 years of fictional histories and stats would be a nightmare to be coded into the game. I doubt that would ever happen.

I just do what someone suggested, start the game 25 years earlier than expected to play and SIM until that time that you want to start playing.
