How to get facegen to work?
I have facegen checked as being on, but for some reason it's just not working for me in this game. All I see are the player's jerseys when I scroll over them, and also my manager's facegen is just a grayed out image.

Same here. I have it checked. Is there a way to refresh it as in OOTPB?
This thing is rough in many ways aside from FaceGen. Considering Steam refund request.

Go to the individual player and click (I think it's) reload face gen or image. I had the same problem and had to do this for each player on my team. I think you have to do it this way if you start a game without selecting facegen in the global settings at the beginning.

In addition to the checkbox in the Settings page reached from the Start screen, you also have to start up a game, the under the File tab, select Setup/Options, then on that page, select the Facegen Settings tab. On the right side of the resulting page you can select Facegen. I found that after doing that, some of the players on some teams still did not have faces generated. You can get faces for them by going to each one and selecting the Picture menu tab (near the right side of the page). Then select New fictional picture.
I don't know why some of the players are not generated when the option I described above is selected. A bug, I guess. |

The facegen options seem to be deactivating by default in newly-created games. It must've changed very recently; the beta had an issue with the global fg folder not being used by default and that was fixed and tested; if this had been happening then, we'd have noticed it. But we'll get it fixed.
As has been mentioned, if a player's portrait has already been created without facegen, it won't be automatically replaced once facegen is on. It can be reset player-by-player using the picture menu, but it's probably easier to just go into the save's \graphics\player_pics (and/or \personnel_pics) folder and delete all the portraits made before you turned facegen on. That'll force the game to create new ones the next time you see the player. |
