Brion was trained by Charley Goldman.

Watched Brion fight Charley Norkus, Rex Layne and Joe Louis. He had a nice jab and moved well. I'd rate him "Either" instead of a slugger. Against Layne he landed consistently with both hands, and he took some terrific shots on the mush from a good banger without a backward step. He was still winging punches in the 9th and 10th rounds off a straight left, though he was starting to tire. I've raised his CF a notch. He was an effective two-handed puncher though not a really explosive one. He could hurt you if he landed square. Easy to cut. First fight with Charley Norkus he got cut under the right eye in round 1.
