In any MLB games, I use it for World Series MVP. For any fictional leagues, I usually wait til I have 30-40 years of history and then create a memorial award named after one of the best players in the early years of my league and base the criteria on what type of player that guy was.

Should be like 20 spots; the more the better. Some OOTPer's like to create all sorts of different awards!

Yeah I was being serious. Maybe I got carried away with saying 20 But I think 5+ would be good. I mean just think of all the ones different users have listed they use... now say someone wanted to use "all of those"; Would be cool to have a bunch of spots to make custom awards!

I use mine for worst player of the year.
Fun choosing between a 3-20 pitcher and .188 hitter with 550 ab. I once had a guy win this who ended up being a decent pitcher and win 20 games in a season. |

I call mine the Commissioner's Award and it's purely discretionary. It tends to be awarded to players who had exceptional performances or led the league in a particular statistical category, but didn't win one of the other awards. Sometimes it goes to the comeback player of the year or top reliever. Basically if I think a guy deserves recognition for something, he wins.

Two Leagues
AL MVP NL MVP AL CY NL CY AL ROY NL ROY Those are covered with standard. Extra Awards NLCS MVP ALCS MVP WS MVP Saves Leader Stolen Base Leader Fans Choice There's 6 without even giving it much thought. I don't think 20 is out of the realm at all myself. After all, it is optional, you wouldn't have to use all 20. Last edited by Bluenoser; 08-07-2014 at 12:02 PM. |
