Is this the best VS. LHP in the game right now?

I think it's the best I've seen, but I haven't been following all the new cards released in the last few months.

How do people feel about that Avoid K though?

Yeah, it's ugly.

I've seen conflicting reports, but I thought AVG was determined by Contact alone, and Avoid K was just added on after. If that's true, I don't care too much how the outs are made.

What I'm confident is saying: Contact is just a "fake" rating. It's an estimate of batting average, yes. But that estimate is a composite of the "real" ratings of BABIP (hidden), AvoidK, and POW.

Dick Allen has wicked POW and BABIP, and I think he'd still smash LHP. But his batting average would look worse than expected against pitchers with high STU and MOV. On the flipside, a guy who derives a lot of his CON rating from high AvoidK would probably do worse than expected against really good defenses.

Oh boy did the Ashburn market crash quickly. I believe the first one sold for around 550K but to me it was not anywhere close to say a perfect Ozzie level card. After getting mine I undercut the other offers by nearly 30K and listed for 484,444 and it took several hours to sell, now there is one up just days later at 300K that can't sell. Been tracking the ones up and I don't think any have sold since mine lol.

I always wonder what the person was thinking in paying 550k for a card like that. Maybe Bill Gates just tossing out money, like lighting a cigar with a $20 bill.........or using a $100 to wipe ones keister.....

Peak Aaron is better. 89 Aaron is pretty close to this too (though not quite).

Especially when it crosses pages. Maybe next year the component missions can all be numbered so that they sort alphabetically in order.

Today I sniped a 95 Jefferies for either 60K or 70K (darn glitch fix) then 95 Beltran for 30K since I hadnt seen a 91 Wright in a week. That finishes off the Mets and all missions for me for the year after deciding the Giants arent worth it.

When I played baseball, my favorite player from my first memory of the game was Graig Nettles. We had the same name (kinda), we wore #9 and we played third base. I was a Yankee fan back then starting in the mid 70's. And when the Yankee missions were added and he had a 97 card as a prize, that was going to be mine. I don't dump much money into it, so every earned point and the points I did buy went to the mission. This morning I got the Bobby Murcer to complete it and now I can finally get my favorite player on my Perfect Team.

There's a "The" mission, cursebreakers I think, that sorts as "T". Drives me nuts.

I managed to snatch a 2015 Jeurys Familia for 1k. And with "snatch" I mean nobody else gave a damn for the 19 hours that my bid was in there.

That's *my* biggest haul of the month anyway...

Oh the most annoying part to me is how some missions start with the team name and others with the city name. It took me forever to find where the Vida Blue mission was as it wasn't under Oakland or Athletics. I'm inching closer on it as I work on the Indians missions too. I've got most of those at a card short, except for the way overpriced Kluber/J Ramirez nonsense. So maybe by the new year, I'll have my Lou B. if I'm lucky and a Vida B. to go with it.

There was 1 card over the weekend with 3 chances for it with bids of 1001, 1000 and 1000 all coming due within 3 minutes. I bid the first one, not good enough. Bid higher on the 2nd one, still not good enough. Bid enormously high on the 3rd one-- got it-- for 1001.

Public Service Announcement.

There is a 93 Faber on the AH if anybody still cares about that mission.

Scratching away at the Metsies collection - if I don't complete that soon, I have to return my Mets fan certificate. So far only the 60s and 70s Mets done, though; just swallowed buying Stearns for 850 to complete the latter for (96) Jon Matlack, who I thought would replace perfect deGrom in the rotation immediately, but ... but the Critters are 40-13 in Perfect with the best staff and I don't want to disturb the beast while it's sleeping, if you know what I mean.

On my all-live team, just scrimped and saved to buy Ken Giles and complete the live Blue Jays. Opened my diamond pack and pulled...... Ken Giles. K!
