Face Question
For those of us using facepacks with Historical Leagues...
In every previous version of OOTP I could just dump the player's picture (formatted with firstname_lastname) in the images directory and the game would automatically "find" it when I clicked on the player. I can't seem to get OOTP2007 to notice when I copy new image files over. I've tried putting them both in the images subfolder under my league and in the OOTP\pictures and OOTP\photos subfolders. Is there a new trick in 2007 to using actual face pictures? |

copy them to my documents\sports interactive\ootp baseball 2007\data\photos
The game will even pick them up now when importing historical rookies |

Hmm. I tried that.
The odd thing is the pictures I put in the league's Images folder when I created it are working just fine - it's just adding new files that aren't working. I've tried the file as both JPG and PNG. I even tried copying the file to the images folder and renaming it player_223.png (his player ID) and it STILL doesn't show on his player page. |

One other thing - I'm right in the middle of the 1968 expansion draft.
Could the be the cause? I'll finish the draft and try again. |

I am having the same problem. I am using the color historical photos and have converted them to png format. I have put them in every folder possible and they still do not show up.

Put them in the photos folder BEFORE you create the league. For an existing league, please put it to your_league.lg\news\html\images

I tried that too - that's how it worked last year so it was the first place I tried putting the file. I was having this trouble with two players. Jimmie Hall is still not working but now the photo for the other players appears. Both were placed in the images folder. |

Same problem is happening after the draft. Putting the files in the images subfolder under the league doesn't seem to be working.

Looks like if you exit the game and reload it will "find" the new pictures in the images folder.
Annoying but at least it works after a reload! |

Got my photos to work also with the reload but with jpeg rather than png.

In v2006, they showed up immediately after leaving the profile page and returning. There may still be an in-game step of a similar nature in v2007 that accomplishes the same thing without the reload.
