Max Resch
To go with Chris Mund's ratings for Tar Baby Day, here is Max Resch. According to Chris, Resch was the only fighter ever to stop Day.
Born in Stuttgart and managed by Walter Englert, Resch was a slugger who fought from 1953 to 1964, finishing with a record of 49-9-2 (38). In his only title bout, he lost a shot at the German middleweight crown to Gustav Scholz.

"According to. . . ."
Well, as it'd be said in the Talmud, "Rabbi Mund said in the name of Rabbi Boxrec. . . ."

I have been a chaplain for roughly 12 years but I don't think the "promotion" is warrented.
