How to enable Facegens?

I've enabled them in the file > 3d and facegen menu, but when I exit the game and go back in, i still don't have them. When I check the global settings, it says "facegen not initialized". I've never had this problem in the past, what am I doing wrong?

You need to activate them both in Settings > 3D & FaceGen and Game Settings > Players & FaceGen > FaceGen settings. If you've already done this, then I'm out of ideas...

and you should post it in the Bug Reports Forum.

That's one of them. Here's the other: (You get to it by going into File > Settings). There are a number of FaceGen things for you to set up in there. Make sure you get them all to the way you want them. You might want to take a spin through File > Settings and check to see that all the other settings are set the way you want them.

Yep, that's the other one I enabled. This is so frustrating.

What's in your This PC > Documents > Out of the Park Developments > OOTP Baseball 19 > fg_files folder. I'm wondering if you're missing them. If you've got them in there then this is something you're going to have to file a bug report in the Bug Report Forums for. Wish I could be of more assistance, but I'm tapped out.

Make sure you have updated your graphic card drivers, OOTP 19 needs at least OpenGL 2.0 support to function properly.

Hmm. I'm honestly not sure. I just updated my GeForce drivers today, but it didn't change anything. I'm not sure if it has OpenGL 2.0 or not.

Do you know which NVIDIA GeForce driver you have? I can link you to the specs if you do.

Yep. Those are the sweet standard facegens that ship with the game alright.

Not that part. I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti. What's yours? That way we can look up the specs and see if you have the minimum for OpenGL (Most likely you do, but you never know).

Ohhhh. On this laptop it's a 940MX (very low end, I know).

I have a 1080 in my gaming PC but right now I'm not playing on there.

That 940MX has an OpenGL of 4.5. I think you're doin' just fine as far as that's concerned. Mine has 4.4 (whatever that means). Specs here.

Ah jeez. I mean it's good it's above, but that means that I have no idea what the issue is. Good drivers/GPU, .fg files in place, and facegens enabled in settings and game settings. ugh.

Guess I'll uninstall it from Steam, and then re-install and see if that works

Could also start a thread in the Bug Reports Forum. Hopefully what you're doing will work. Just do not unlicense it.

Hey CanadaCajanek21,
please do the following:
-start oopt19
-go settings ->troubleschouting and change
"Don't write ootp debug info into file" to
"Write ootp debug info into file"
-click "OK"
-click continue game
-go play->play exhibition game ... continue.
after you see the 3d screen click on save& leave.
--go settings ->troubleschouting again and click on "open log file
ootp_trace.txt"

Please post the txt file or the contents of it here. It might have valuable info so we can help you better.

I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and now for some reason it's working! No idea what changed, but it seems good to go now!
