Whatever the actual score of the game was, there's no such thing as a 0-0 loss.

Got that one fixed.

Don't know what causes the 0-0 loss though.

The Text Database look corrects. There was no error in the new story tokens.

This is a problem for Markus to fix.

I think it has been BZ'd.

Not sure this is the right place to mention this Contract Negotiation problem, but it DOES show up on the news page ....

Fictional league. Between seasons and looking at the free agent list. Made an offer of a minor league contract to one Mario Sanchez as the Offer Contract screen said he would accept same. Got a message back from him saying that he was offended I offered him a minor league contract as it did not reward his loyalty in playing for my team. Would like to continue playing on my team but would not take a minor league contract to do that. He signed with another club the same day. Only problem is that this player has never been in my organization. Checked the league history and no player named Sanchez has been in my organization.

Not sure if someone else has mentioned this previously - a suspension news story about Mickey Stanley, but in the last sentence of the 1st paragraph it says, "Fernandez was incensed..."

Thanks.

A few more. I apologize if these have been reported... I'm beginning to lose track a bit

TYPE: News
SUBJECT: Team wins Championship
2nd paragraph: "We had a lot of things going for us, offense and defense doing it at the right time. That's what it takes win a...."
Should have a "to" in there.

TYPE: News
SUBJECT: Team Chills Player's Hit Streak
1st paragraph: ...to put an end the right fielder's 20-game hitting streak.
Should have a "to" in there.

TYPE: News
SUBJECT: Player Shows Off, Hits for Cycle
1st paragraph: Fenway Park is listed. (I have no Fenway Park in my league.) And ends with "victory over the Team city name only" Should remove the "the" or include the nickname of the team as well.

Thanks! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for your help.

It would really be helpful if you would post the first sentence of the story that has the error, then give the sentence that is wrong.

That way I can just read the first sentence of each and find the problem story much easier and quicker.

Fixed all of them except the Cycle story.

But I will go through all of them until I find the error.

Sorry about that. Here's a screenshot of the Cycle one... (Regarding Fenway Park, it's just a coincidence that the team is Boston.)

Fixed the cycle story.
Don't know about the Fenway park... maybe that was fixed before, it's correct in the database.

EC: Use the text object text or ID search box in the database. You can enter any phrase there and it'll find all of that phrase. I entered, for this, "victory over the" and read through the cycle stories that contained that phrase... it even bolds the phrase so I could easily find the phrase and see what token was used after them.

Man, that search is great. I thought it was just for Category and Object.

I spent 30 minutes looking line-by-line for the Fenway Park error. I never did find it after reading them 3 times.

It may have been one I fixed a while ago.

Here is some in-game text. The play by play calls the wrong guy safe at home, should have been McFadden, but play by play says Lewis (who then hustles into 2nd). Here's the text:

In the batter's box, Lewis...
so far he's 1 for 4 today...
The delivery to Lewis...
swung on...
drilled to center for a single.
McFadden takes third...
McFadden is on his way home...
the throw toward home plate...
McFadden with the slide...
Mahoney finds him with the tag...
and Lewis is safe!
Lewis hustles into second...
Cory Lewis delivers a RBI single...

no 2007 MVPs listed

I presume this has been addressed (and I have not applied the first patch; waiting for the second one) ... but when you create an MLB league, and check out History ---> Award Winners ---> the 2007 MVPs are not listed.

AL correctly has Sabathia for Cy Young and Pedroia for Rookie; NL has Peavy for CY and Braun for ROY ... but A-Rod and Rollins are not listed as MVP; there's just a blank space.

This is not News or PBP, but I will report it.

Thanks for posting the problem.
