the year is 2045
All of the Ohtanis Hall of Fame chances have come and gone. Padres Ohtani came the closest, but this year dropped off the ballot after getting to 23.4%.
Career stats for all the Ohtanis attached... Shohei Ohtani All-Time Hitter Award: Rockies Ohtani (.300, 290 HR, 818 RBI, 39.9 WAR) Shohei Ohtani All-Time Pitcher Award: Padres Ohtani (140-97, 3.57 ERA, 47.8 WAR) Most Valuable Ohtani Career Award: Probably Padres Ohtani? Tough to say for sure. If Astros Ohtani had stayed in MLB for his whole career, it probably would have been him. Least Valuable Ohtani Career Award: Dodgers Ohtani (5.09 ERA, just 4.6 WAR total before bolting to Japan) Most Innovative Use of an Ohtani (Career version): I think Astros Ohtani. That guy just stuck around forever and was pretty good for his three-season MLB swan song after seven years in Japan. |
