Will the game include the delayed start to the season?

MLB just announced that Opening Day will be delayed by at least two weeks due to coronavirus. Will this delay be in OOTP 21?

No. We will ship with the normal 162 game schedule initially. We will see how things develop further down the road and then offer an updated schedule file once we all know when the season actually starts.

Thanks for the update. The entire Sports world is in quarantine for at least a month.

just to clarify is this only for the LIVE verson or is it also for the stand alone version? I am happy with 162 for 2020 for stand alone or perhaps offer option between the 2 ?

Okay, I’ll bite. What’s the difference between a ‘live’ version and a ‘stand alone’ version?

there is only 1 version of the game.

there is just an option to get live mlb updates for stats/ratings. so if you wanted to start a season 3 months from now it would be based on what the players have done these 3 months.

It will be like the '1994 what if season' we could download a few years ago, but now in real time. Surreal. I didn't even plan to buy this years version as of yet, wanted to wait until after the all star break and then enter with live start. But, now, everything changed. I preordered 21 last night, great to have some real baseball in my house in crazy times.

What exact schedules we include, how exactly the live start will function with the delayed season start, those are all things we will simply have to figure out as we go.

Seems like Memorial Day is the current goal to start the season and 162 is still the plan... Who wants to work on a schedule for that xD
