turning challenge mode game to non challenge mode
So I started a game in challenge mode with the expansion Mariners in 1977. For some reason, my owner expects me to reach the world series this year so I'm probably going to get fired as we're 25 games under 500 or something in August.
I don't want to get fired, I want to stick with the team and see if I can turn it into a winner. I can't find the option to not get fired anywhere. Can I do this or am I screwed because I started it in challenge mode? |

I confess I haven't played challenge mode, but it's my understanding that you're screwed. Unfortunately, if you don't want to be subject to the rigors of challenge mode, I think that you need to, well, not play challenge mode.

Afik you need a string of failures to get fired. Build the team up over thenext few years and owner will be happy. Hopefully he’ll be more realistic with his demands as they usually are.

I've never played challenge mode either, but maybe you could try exporting the league as a template, then start a new game importing the template and turn off challenge mode in the new game's setup.
Post here if that works. |

It's not possible to turn a Challenge League into Non-Challenge League.

op may not get fired this year, but this is a case where if their expectations are for you to win a lot, you should do your best to meet the rest of their goals and give them a lot of money in their pockets at the end of the season and you might survive. |
