iL 255 days

I use the historical replay with historical transactions and for some reasons some players are showing up with 255 days left on the IL. There is no noticatiom of any type of injury and no injury listed. These are not part time players, some have played in 140 games or more on their real life stats. A few of these I have edited the IL number to zero, they returned to the roster but have gone back on the 255 day IL A few games later. Any ideas?

Thanks,

John

I think this is the game's way of giving us the same rosters that were actually available. When it's time for them to play, the AI will take them off the injured list without regard to the 255 days.

I hope it works that way. I wish there were some kind of a notice that it was happening. I did find one that had counted down from 255 to 246 days.

I'm playing 1901, and in addition to the injured players, there are 147 free agents. I'm also playing historical lineups and transactions. Since finances are off, no one can sign them but the teams they went to, and I think they're going to appear on the correct rosters right before it's time for them to play.

Example: the real Athletics signed Eddie Plank out of Gettysburg College in May, 1901. In the game on April 25, Plank is currently a free agent.

Okay, i’ll keep an eye on them and see if the players move back on the roster and not worry about them.
