Ervin Ford aka Erwin Ford

Ervin Ford was an outfielder with the Indianapolis Clowns in 1951. He then launched a minor league career, becoming the first Afro-American player with the Appleton Papermakers in 1952. He returned to the Clowns for 1954 and 1955. Then he was back into the minors with El Paso in 1956. The photo shows him with the El Paso Texans, and is from the El Paso Times of July 15, 1956. Some sources identify him as Erwin Ford.

His baseball-reference.com record for minor league purposes is at:

Sorry, but these have only been posted one at a time. No facepack or anything like that for photos on this thread.

Miller Guyton

Miller "Sandman" Guyton was a third baseman with the Kansas City Monarchs and Philadelphia Stars in 1951. The photo is from a team picture of the minor league Big Springs (TX) Cosden Cops squad of the Class C Longhorn League. It comes from the Big Springs Herald of March 27, 1955. Baseball-reference.com does not contain a record for Miller Guyton, so he either did not play in the minors or if he did, it was for a very minimal number of games (or B-R.com simply missed him). His hometown was Big Springs.

Michael Houlemard

Michael "Mike" Houlemard was a pitcher for the 1954 Birmingham Black Barons. Think I have a photo of the right Mike Houlemard. This photo comes from the Pasadena (CA) Independent of Oct. 8, 1962. It shows him in the uniform of the Norens semi-pro team of Pasadena, where he performed as both a pitcher and outfielder. An article in a 1964 issue of that same Pasadena Independent newspaper established his age as 31, and his original home town as New Orleans. So he would have been around age 21 if he were the same fellow pitching for the Birmingham Black Barons in 1954, which would fit OK.
