I found I deserved another $20 to blow for the holidays and I will throw money at my first base problem. Al Rosen really messed up my Tigers pitching in my 1950 dynasty season, and it is now time that he messes up somebody else. Biddin' on one right now.
Looks like I will also move a chunk of silvers that I had either no use for or that I just couldn't get to click. Nobody wants the stray Minter though.

I have advanced in the playoffs for the first time with my bronze league Cardinals team. In fact, they are the first of the three teams that I have had make the playoffs to even win a game.
And Lou Brock (see my picture) was the series MVP! |

My Silver playoff team pulled off the reverse sweep in the Division Series. Pretty awesome.
My Gold team avoided choking away a 2-0 lead, pulling out the victory in Game 5. Luckily I avoided playing the team running a Perfect Ted Williams, Mookie Betts, and Johnny Bench, along with a Mickey Mantle. But, his pitching staff kinda sucks, so that's probably why he didn't move on. |

I am not sure who has the Montreal Royals, but I just pulled off a surprise sweep. Roger Maris finally woke up.

I was happy all three of my teams advanced to the playoffs, but all three went down without much of a fight, without picking up a win in the playoffs. The good part about PT is the new season starts fresh tomorrow.

I like Kushiel and always wish him well, but I'd rather face you if we are both lucky enough to get to the WS. Good luck in your LCS!. We're the underdogs trying to take down the Gold .301 Giants! |

After getting to the Silver World series in Season two and losing. I finished dead last in my Division in the Gold Leagues. The first half of season 3 was terrible. A lot of my players started playing really good after the all star break but unfortunately it was too little too late at that point. I gotta say for the first time since I got him Clayton Kershaw had an outstanding season. He was terrible last season. Finished season 3 with a 5.2 WAR. It says we were 1st in Home Runs for the National Conference. After this terrible season I just upgraded my 2nd basemen (Jose Altuve) and pulled what appears to be a decent gold reliever Mark Eichorn out of a pack I bought with points earned this season. Hoping next season is better.

Lost 14-0. Couldn't even manage a lousy field goal! But I knew I wasn't going to beat perfect Pedro Martinez, so at least I didn't waste my Koufax or Randy Johnson up against him. |

I must add soon Pedro diamond and the very rare Tim Raines (84 ov version) with that and the fact I'll surely be relagated to silver league again, I'll be very competitve I think for next season. The problem will be my bullpen, I only see Lee Smith who played a little for Expos that I can add...hope OOTP will add some Expos players in futur cards addition. Lost Game 3 5-3 in eleven innings. In the bottom of the tenth, his Mike Trout in LF threw out my Mike Trout and then my Willie Mays for the last two outs of the inning when both tried to score from second on singles. Earlier in the game his Trout threw out another runner at home plate. Sheesh, I'm an Angel fan and watch Trout play regularly. His arm isn't that good!!!! What a way to lose to a stacked team! |

FINALS, BABY!
Although, I'm frustrated with my Doolittle-Diaz Closer/Stopper combo. They keep blowing games. I picked up the Diamond Record Breaker Kenley Jansen late in the season and I'm tempted to switch him to closer, but hate to do that right before the WS. I love how Doolittle gets a Hold for essentially setting up Diaz's blown save. |

Oh yeah, and again, it would be nice to have more than 0 to 1 games off between series. I won my series in 5, but since my WS opponent swept already, I get 1 whole day off. Carrasco has been ultra-hot (league leader in Wins and look at that playoff ERA), but now I'm not going to be able to play him twice in the WS because he probably won't be 100% until game 4.
Not that it probably matters. My opponent's team is insane, crushing his playoff opponents in 2 sweeps, by a combined 48-13 score. He's got 6 Perfects (Bonds, Bagwell, Trout, Betts, Sale, Eckersley) and the rest mostly high diamonds (Lindor, Arenado, King Kelly, Griffey) and some really good golds. |

Leading my bronze league sub-league series 3-2 and the last 2 games are at home, so here's hoping we make it to the finals.

EDIT: Oops, I had stepped out a bit and didn't realize that was Game 2. I won Game 1. The winning pitcher: Doolittle. Last edited by DonkeyKongSr; 12-23-2018 at 07:18 PM. |

I'm out. Lost my series 4-2. Pitching just could not hold out for me.
I see that as a potential problem moving forward with my Cardinal based team. There are a handful of good Cardinal pitching cards (Gibson, Chris Carpenter, Dizzy Dean) but they are very expensive. The pickings seem even slimmer on the reliever front. I have both Smith and Sutter but then a bunch of current relievers, none of which are very good. |
