If I replace the 1.0.1 version 2012.tar.gz with cody's, will that overwrite the opening day roster updates from the 1.0.1 update?

In other words, do I need to unzip the 2012.tar.gz and only replace the teams.dat file with cody's modified file, or will I still have the updated rosters if I just overwrite the whole 1.0.1 tar with cody's? Is the roster info stored in the 2012.tar.gz or somewhere else?

Thought about the same issue this morning.
Normally you just have to use the teams.dat from Codys mod and keep the new files from the update. The rosters should be saved in the players.dat as afr as I known.

The 2012.tar.gz can be opened and modified with 7-zip.

Perhaps I'll upload a new version this afternoon when I'm back home...

That's what I was afraid of.

I'm trying to make a clean (non-resource forked and DS_Stored) gzip on Mac that doesn't just crash the game when loaded and having a hard time.

But I will provide a file for PC, perhaps you can use that as a base?

Update comes out and the logos revert back to made up ones.

I try and put in the new ones again but somehow I mess up and they don't work???

My brain is too old to remember back to how I did it.

The video doesn't work so can anyone help me with using iExplorer to put the logos into the iPad?

New logo pack 1.01 online!

I created a new 2012 quickstart file which uses the old teams.date file and has all other new date files from the new 1.01 patch in it.
I also updated some logos (e.g. LA Dodgers).

How to use it???
1. Use iExplorer to access your Apple device
2. Overwrite 2012.tar.gz in the quickstart folder
3. Delete logos folder in data folder
4. Copy complete logo folder to device
5. Restart your device and start a new league

Let me know if you like it or if it works/doesn't work!

Well I put in the new 1.01 logos and my original saved game had them in except for the six teams from NY, LA and Chicago as they appeared generic.

Again originally I had no problem putting in the 2012.tar zip file but I just cannot find it anywhere even when I'm told it's Apps/com.ootpdevelopments.iootp2012 there is just no file with that name.

I'm fed up over this as like I've said when iOOTP2012 came out I put in the logos no problem and it worked on both saved and new game but now I just cannot get it to work.

I really need an idiots guide again on this.

Interestingly, these six teams all have both National and American league teams--could the file names for your logos be missing the (N) or (A) that is appended to the city names, eg, New York (N) etc?

Most likely......I downloaded them from Grisu_HDH post #35.

Looking at the original ones I downloaded they also don't have the (N) or (A) but they did work on 1.00?

The only difference is the originals are in lower case and the newer ones have capitals and lower case.

As far as I know capitals or lower case doesn't matter...
Used the patch for myself of course and everythings works fine.
But I started a new game over all...

File location:
Logo folder: iOOTPData\logos
2012.tar.gz = iOOTPData\historical_quickstarts\2012 Season.quick\2012.tar.gz

AND REMEMBER: Always restart your device after the use of IExplorer for file moving!!!
