10 teams league

Hello everyone,
I'm going to create 10 teams league and I need some answers for my questions

First - how many draft rounds will be most suitable for this league?
Second - do I need minor leagues for this? If so, how much? How many teams should be in those leagues?

Thank You in advance for any help.

First- the number of draft rounds is a function of the number of minor league levels you have. The rule of thumb is 5 rounds for every level of minors. So, if you've got three levels of minors, you'd want a 15 round draft.

Second- you do not need to have minors. You can choose to have reserve rosters instead. Players will develop when they are on the reserve roster but will not accumulate stats. I have done small leagues like you are suggesting with 1 or 2 levels of minors, but have also gone as many as 5. Ta totally up to you how you want to play, and how much of your time you want to be managing your farm system rather than your major league club.

So this is my plan - Major league (10 teams, 5 each conference), Minor league (10 teams) and 5-rounds draft. Looks good?

Looks like it will work. I always prefer to have at least one level of minors so my guys can generate stats. Sounds like you'll have a cozy league that you'll really get to know.
