Exit all running programs, then reboot computer, then run only OOTP
If that doesn't work press ctrl alt del choose task manager and look for RAM being used by other programs on boot up. Free up RAM by closing all non-critical programs. "Out of memory" typically refers to RAM. Lack of disk space is different but fixable as you say by deleting unneeded files to free up space. In the case of HDD issues defragmentation may help after space is freed.

If you have 12GB RAM you should never see "out of memory" warnings at all, unless you use an extremely RAM intensive program.

Yeah OOTP runs as a 32 Bit program currently for Windows users which means it can only use up to 4 GB of memory. If you're having issues with large leagues crashing due to memory issues you will want to look at either deleting retired players who never reached the majors and also disabling baseball cards as those two are the major reasons why older leagues will keep gaining more and more memory usage.
Thanks Alex |

Memory Usage Issue
Is this going to be fixed for OOTP21? I setup a 300 some NCAA league. The game runs fine if I don't do anything with that league (except for the usual annoying system bog down after an hour of playing-rant for a different time). If I try to do anything with that league however, OOTP stops responding. I have x64bit system with 16GB RAM. I shouldn't be having issues running this game.
