The Texas Rangers fired general manager Ben Moore and pitching coach Mike Redington. Bench coach Jeff Steffee left the team when his contract was not renewed. The Texas Rangers signed team trainer Adam McCarthy to a 5-year contract extension.

The Oakland Athletics fired manager Dick Williams.
