2022 Season Preview
On Saturday night we held the 1st annual T-Birds bash at the Thunderdome. This gave our fans a chance to meet the 2022 T-Birds including any players on the DL and several prospects lihe Bobby Avalon & Judd Dunn. 55,000 T-Birds fans ate some of our new cuisine and watched some of the players that sing, sing the new T-Birds 2022 soundtrack.
I made a few last minute changes to the roster. Juan San Antonio was sent to AAA so he can learn to play 3B so he can take over for Stan Pearl eventually. Ray Maracle was recalled from AAA. He will be the backup C starter vs LHP and catch Dom DeBoer, most of the time. Scott will always catch Tim Waters.

I have a feeling we may start out kind of cold. We are missing our best hitter in Burke til May and we will be without SU Tom Tregger til middle of May and will be without John Proctor til August or September.

Several of the younger players like Judd Dunn, Bobby Avalon, Lou Bromden, Lorence Fajous & Gabriel Gray will play juist not sure how much.

NL Predictions
While both the experts and myslef believe we will win the NL East it will be tough. Corvair looks impressive and having R.P. McMurphy healthy all season will make them better. They made a few changes to their team and I don't see us winning by more then 5 games.
The prediction have everyone else under .500 and while I think we are the weakest division in the EBL I think Rocky Top can finish 3rd with around 85 wins. The rest of this division stinks. Skywalker does look better but I am not sold on their SP I have Alderaan finishing last not Atlanta.
I have Glenbard winning the AL west for 4 simple reasons: Didich, Sullivan, Bellias & Kanter. Those 4 will carry the Cougars.
Brandywine, Paradise City & Lake Venus could all win over 95 games.
Even the formerly bad teams like Sony & Steel Mill look better then they did last yr.

AL Predictions
Atlantis will be the best team this year. Their IF of Smith, Wellington, Jussim & Parks loos impressive. Parks or Jussim will win the AL batting title. Then you factor in Kevie Oko and his potential of 50 HR. the have a great defensive C and 5 strong SP. Their only weakness is getting to CL Red Cross & lack of pop outside of Oko & Smith.
Endor City will still be good but they have question at the back end of their rotation & overall lack of defense. Lattman, while I love the guy, can't throw anyone out anymore and the Sharks will run for days on him. Mick Toner doesn't look as good this year.
I think Gotham City will finish 3rd around 88 wins. 3 solid SP and a few new bats in the lineup that are built for Wayne Field and that short RF porch.
Everyone else in the East should be below .500
Wish we would have played the AL west this year vs the East. Dan Price who is Harry Walker's best friend is in Bird City this year and my nephew Chad plays for Panasonic.
I have Colortown winning the AL west but it should be a 4 team race with Panasonic, Stryper & Springfield.
The Parrots have the best rotation in the West but have alack of pop in their lineup. Corey Giles looks great as does C Dave Davila but they lack anyone with good average or power beyond those 2.
Stryper has several injuries to SP that will hurt them early in the season but the Isotopes lead til about the middle of July the the Red Devils were on fire after that.
Springfield has alack of anyone good in that lineup with the exceptions of CF Bart Simpson and leadoff hitter Jon Elkin. They have the best pen in teh West but stars like Todd Philpott and Steve Martinez dont look as good as last year.
Panasonic could be great in a year or 2 right now they have a ton of veterans and no where to play all of them. Too many 1B & 3B.
Cloud City could be the surprise team of 2022. 3 solid SP in Durbin, Lincoln & Cocoa. Good power in Escott & Peters good role players in Jetson, Laska & a good young SS in Todd Holman. Pen is weak overall.
The rest of the team will compete for last.

April looks to be a tough month.We only have 2 off days all month. We start out easy @ Alderaan, then play the new look Sony Lizards. We open at home vs Paradise City which will be a tough series. 3 at home vs Endor City which will be our 1st true test to see how good we really are. @ SKY & RT which could be tough. 3 at home vs the new look Colts which could give us a breather.Then end the month with 2 @ Brandywine which is another tough team.
