Rule 5 Draft and Player returned

I went through all the settings and could find nothing to fix this, so it must be a bug/glitch (and it was not a factor in OOTP19). I had a player returned to me who had been drafted in the Rule 5 draft and the game is forcing me to keep him on my roster for the entire season. This is not how the rule 5 draft works or has worked in the game in previous years.

Please note that the issue continues on every time the player is released in future years he returns to my 25 man roster.

I have a returned Rule 5 draftee that where the game shows that he's required to be on the ML roster or the IL all season. So it still occurs with build 2.33. Or does the fact he was returned in earlier build affect that?

I think the fact that he was returned in the earlier build will indeed affect that. When you load the game in the new build, the Rule 5 flags that were set in the previous build will still be set on that player on that save file. New returnees should have their flags set up correctly on the new build though.

I have version 20.2 Build 33 and I am still being forced to put players on my 40 man roster that are returned to me. (I don't have room on my 40 man, so not sure if they also have to go on my 25 man). I am correct in the assumption that this problem has yet to be fixed? With previous players, as I continue to move forward in my career, I have traded them away as I really did not care, however, this time, I had two players returned and I want to keep them both in my minor league system, so I am really stalled.

It should be fixed. If you started this save in an old version previous to the fix though, the fix may not retroactively solve things, you may need to start a new game to see things work correctly.

Would each round different level solve problem like first one round one MLB and 10th Rookie Ball?
