Silver Wolves
My pay team, the Silver Wolves. Though this average is likely slightly inflated, as I have 4 cards that dropped a level...2 diamond to gold, 1 gold to silver, and 1 silver to bronze.

Still no records of the Ty Cobb card being sold on the auction house so he stays at zero for another week. The team hasn't changed a lot and overall lost 1000PP of value. Most of that coming from Hank Greenberg (475), Trevor Bauer (249), and Blake Snell (199). Ken Giles had a rating boost of three points and was the only player to increase in value!

Raccoons depreciated six figures since last week, which is, well, due to Big Walt going for slightly less than 800k now. But there is potential in the rest of the squad, which has seen three guys zoom from gold to diamond this week; also Stanton on the Rebels, who gained a rousing 3k in their slow crawl out of utter poverty.

Ok, I finally got around to totalling the value of all my players, including those on my reserve roster. This is based on taking average sell value for last seven days - 15% as value:
The total value of the Battery Point Energizer Bunnies is a whopping 45,386 PP! When you total the price I paid for them, it comes to 49,521. This may sound very small for some of you, but this is a purely FTP team, totally built from the Auction house using earned PPs. |

The Frogs (F2P) are worth about 10k more PP since doing this exercise about 10 days ago.
Lots of new faces here after a bit of a rebuild over the weekend and prepping for a foray into the gold level. Holdovers include Gerrit Cole, Patrick Corbin (new to the bullpen), Tom Burgmeier, Jeurys Familia, Spanky, Eddie Stanky, Luis Aparicio, and Reggie Sanders. You know what they say--Spanky and Stanky: pray for rain. Or something like that. The biggest missing face is 98 diamond Aaron Judge who I sold in the AH to fund a good deal of this roster makeover. We had some good times, Aaron and I, but he batted around the Mendoza line at the silver level so I didn't see us having a future together. Next thing I want to upgrade is third base, but other than a nice Robin Ventura card showing up from time to time for ~4000 PP, it'll be a little while before something I can afford will beat my makeshift Von Hayes/Jody Reed discount special platoon. That Jody Reed is a nice little card. It and Scott Alexander are very underrated silver cards, imo. Last edited by waittilnextyear; 04-18-2019 at 02:17 AM. |

Got some solid pulls this week in the packs including Historical Legend Greg Maddux who currently accounts for 91% of my team value (though if that Ty Cobb card ever sells on the market then I expect it to be fairly hefty).
Non-Maddux improvements accounted for 23,807 PP worth of value especially Gerrit Cole, Blake Snell, Jim Gilliam, and Garry Maddox. Shout-out to Giancarlo Stanton who improved nearly 2000PP thanks to an upgrade to Diamond despite not playing in real life. Edit: My median value is 1500 PP -- a fair cry from my average of 26,000 PP! My median card is Jordan Hicks this week, last week it was Brad Keller, the week before it was Paul Waner, and in the first week it was George Vukovich.

Apologies for the size of the image in advance, but I can't make it any smaller without some things being unreadable.
Needless to say, I've done a bad job of purchasing high and seeing valuation sink. Painful, especially since this is a 100% F2P team, and every point is critical. Last edited by Magus978; 04-22-2019 at 12:47 AM. |

Are you going for an all-historical team, any theme beyond that?
Edit: Never mind, saw his signature. NL East! Cool looking team!

Indeed. Any NL East team (from both the 1969-1993 format to today's current format) is eligible, which is why you see a few Pirates and Cardinals. Plus, to make it easier on me, I have not restricted the team to just players from the Eastern Division era, hence why you will see some pre-NL East players in there like Granny Hamner & Stan Musial

There are not that many changes to the teams from last week. Haven't drawn any goodies from packs, and my sole bigger investment (gold+) from the market, Sherm Lollar, was terrifically useless in the second half of the season.

I have three teams - the Frankenthal Palatines, where I invested about 30 bucks and two teams I'll only play with packs: The Frankenthal Brewers (of course only with Brewers players) and the Frankenthal Retros (only with cards before 1990)

Ty Cobb finally got sold on the auction house so I've got a value for him for the first time. Most of my value increase from last week comes from his valuation plus the additions of LaRoche, Carew, Altuve, Greenwell, Aaron, and Yastrzemski.
Most of the live players I have retained or grew in value this week. Not sure how to interpret that.

Updated for the 2024 season. The gap between total value and total paid is expanding

Values eroding everywhere, including my rosters. For my life of me, the Raccoons can't find an infield that works, and the Rebels can't find anything in the value bin...
