Larry Dolan, owner of the Cleveland Indians, has died.
His son, Nate Dolan, has taken over. His first order of business was to bring the franchise into the 21st century by renaming it. Welcome back to the Cleveland Spiders.

In a game that was brutal to pitchers, Cleveland ran out first, and it was Mike Napoli pitching when the Jays got the go-ahead run in the 15-14 win in the 11th. The only thing that stopped Devon Travis from hitting two Grand Slams was that one of the runs was balked in before he smacked his second dinger. He collected 9 RBI altogether. Randal Grichuk also homered for Toronto. WP - Seung-hwan Oh (1-0) Save - Roberto Osuna (4) LP - Andrew Miller (1-2) Record - 8-8
