Mac Interface Lag - Normal?
Been playing this game for a while on my Mac Pro (12 Core Xeon With RX580 and 32GB Ram, so definitely not a power problem) and I've experienced significant interface lag.
I've turned off facegen and that helped a little, but as you can see in this GIF I created it's still fairly significant. Enough to make playing through a season almost a bit of a chore. Managing the team is pretty exhausting. Is this amount of interface lag normal? Here's my video of it in action: https://imgur.com/a/uUWfSAF In addition to the interface lag, I get some weird behavior with drop-downs. It's hard to explain, but it seems like sometimes when I click the drop down it disappears after a second or two, and together with a delay of a second or two after I click it leads to me clicking whats undernead the drop down because it's disappeared rather than clicking what I want to click if that makes sense. Another video of that happening: https://imgur.com/a/0xVOMnP I'm on Version 5.7 Build 66 Last edited by dmarzio; 02-28-2019 at 02:24 PM. Reason: Adding my version/fixing imgur link |

The interface lag's definitely not normal. It looks like what I'd expect from a slower system struggling with processing the data, but that doesn't make sense with your system specs. The slight improvement with Facegen makes me suspect a graphics issue - if you can go to the Settings-Troubleshooting menu on the start screen, turn on "Enable Debug Trace", then re-start the game and go back to that menu and click on "Copy Trace File" and post the contents here, that may let us see if there's anything unusual in your system or game setup that could be causing a problem in that area.
The dropdown thing we've heard of before - it seems to happen intermittently on some Macs. We haven't been able to replicate it, though, and the number of people experiencing it seems to have decreased over time, so the cause at this point isn't known. |
