Player Photos
I recently imported my game from OOTP 17 to OOTP 19 using the OOTP 18 demo to do so. About half of the player's in the MLB have had their photos (including some of my studs(like Degrom Syndegaard, Matz, and Harvey) disappear in favor of face generations. I copied all the photos into the ootp 19 photos folder, and verified they are there. I unselected face gen and made all the settings what I usually make them when I successfully import real photos. I tried manually doing some of the important players I care about but when I do that the photo looks normal when you drag your mouse over the player, but when you click on their player page their head either is way too big or is not there, and it also makes all the player's whose photos are in the game have their head grow too big as well, which then corrects itself as soon as one gets rid of all manually imported photos. Anyone have any tips? I really love having the photos in the game.

As you can see in the screenshots i posted, when I manually import Thor's photo it does not show up on his player page, and the photos of other players whose photos did transfer over start to look weird. When I get rid of the picture of Thor and replaced it with a face gen of him, the players whose photos did transfer over returned to looking normal. Thor's photo was visible and looked normal when you would scroll over him in a menu however, it's once you click the player page that things unravel. This is the case for around half of the player's in my game, as half of them their photo transferred and the other half it did not. I look forward to hearing insight on this occurrence.

This is pretty weird. Offhand I have no good ideas. I'll check with Andreas and see if he has any thoughts...

Thanks for looking into it man! I look forward to hearing what might be causing it. Do you have any suggestions of settings to tweak or anything else I should be doing in the meantime (like re-importing the photos) in order to try and solve the issue?

another update. The actual photos of the players also get weirdly big (as shown in above photos if you move the player to another team even if it is another minor league team in your own system.

Sorry for the slow reply, lost track of this for a while!
On further review, I think this is just a case of needing to disable the facegens to get all the photos to show up. The photos that show up are those that don't have facegens. So if you go to settings > 3d and facegen and then disable facegen (or alternately, under picture search mode change that to 'search for photo first') you should get the game to load the photos correctly, regardless of the facegen's presence. Give that a shot and let me know how it goes.
