In an attempt to fund some more trips to the animal shelter for adoptions, I made the tough decision to put long time and fan favorite Terriers, Dave Righetti and Fernando Valenzuela, up for sale. They've long been riding my reserve roster and now that new missions have been released, well.....you know.
Baseball is a business after all. No one wants to come to the Dog Park and eat plain hot dogs because I have no money to fill the condiment pumps. Last edited by gemini615; 11-25-2019 at 11:50 AM. |

The Terriers can't be bothered to chase any more balls for the rest of the season. Their bellies are too full of turkey at this juncture.
We're 27-69 and it's a lost cause. |

When the RNG decides you're going to suck this year, you're going to suck.
The Terriers ended up 50-112 despite adding Sliding Billy and Bob Gibson before the season started. It's absolutely laughable. Best In Show: Sliding Billy .270 11HR 39 RBI 81SB (led the league) In the Doghouse: Don Drysdale 6-20 6.04ERA The Random Number Generator I guess the game felt guilty for doing the Terriers wrong this year as I just pulled a 97 Al Rosen to play third base. I guess it's my "back to diamond" reward. Packs Opened- 577 Perfects- 3 Diamonds- 22 Golds- 63 Silvers- 154 |

The Terriers have been re-energized while serving their detention in diamond for reckless biting up in the perfect leagues. We sit at 61-36 and sent a record 8 pooches to the all-star festivities. I'll be buying some of that expensive Blue Mountain chow this week instead of our regular boring Purina.
Anyways the super pups are: Sliding Billy (voted Most Popular) Kirby Puckett Al Rosen (the newcomer) Jeff McNeil Gabby Hartnett Don Drysdale Bob Gibson Christy Mathewson Let's just hope everyone's on their best behavior at the game when we're around other animals. Like the Alley Cats and the Flying Squirrels. Fingers crossed. |

The benefit from being in diamond for a season is I accumulated a bunch of points. We also led the league with a 106-56 record and have swept our way into the LCS where we'll have a long break before our next opponent is determined. I'm looking forward to going back to Perfect next season but not before the Terriers make a run at a diamond title.
Best In Show: Kirby Puckett .310 19HR 119RBI Don Drysdale 22-8 2.34ERA (Drysdale is in line for a Cy Young award once the playoffs end) In the Doghouse: No one Packs Opened- 617 Perfects- 3 Diamonds- 24 Gold- 66 Silvers- 172 |

The Terriers blew a 3 game to one lead in the LCS and fell to Mount Pleasant in seven.
Overall, it was a fantastic season. Naps for everyone then off to perfect in the morning. |

Now that we're back in the perfect leagues from our detention, the Terriers are doing normal Terrier things like being completely average. The good news is the division is completely up for grabs in one of the weaker divisions I've ever seen. Let's hope the Terriers can jump up and take it like a frisbee flying across the park.
No puppies were selected to attend the all star game this season. Apparently the league office has been cracking down on poor behavior after a rogue Terrier was caught in the concession stand freezer snacking on a bag of frozen chicken tenders. I told the league office that my Terriers have short attention spans, but they weren't interested in what I had to say. Anyways, I have 8k to look for pack adoptions. I'll be crossing my fingers and hoping John Jay doesn't show up. |

Hiram College Terriers- doing their average .500 play. The playoffs are out of consideration. Sliding Billy leads the league in SB again though.
Ohio City Chefs- finally upgraded to 100 Bob Feller over 98 Feller and are in wildcard contention for the first time. All Indians, Naps, and Spiders are welcome. Only accepting Lajoie, Covaleski and Flick though. Fort Jefferson Pirates- also in wildcard contention. 86 Pie Traynor continues to rake. Elmer Flick and SE Don Mattingly will probably help the Pirates be my most competitive team before OOTP21 comes out. We'll see. Last edited by gemini615; 12-14-2019 at 09:26 PM. |

The Terriers couldn't keep pace with the Detroit Reign and lost an opportunity to win a very weak perfect league division. We finished 78-84 and missed the playoffs. I still believe we're one or two elite card pulls to be in the playoffs.
Best In Show: Kirby Puckett .292 23HR 90RBI In the Doghouse: Josh Beckett 9-9 5.28ERA Packs Opened- 642 Perfects- 3 Diamonds- 24 Golds- 71 Silvers- 175 Ohio City Chefs won their wildcard game and lost in the division series. Fort Jefferson won their division but got swept in the division series. |

Morris Buttermaker was an inspiration for me. After watching him manage a baseball team of children while being a drunken stumblebum, I realized I might be able to manage a team of Terriers in Perfect Team.
Now, I'm no movie star like him..... but does he have 3000 career wins with a team of pack-pull pooches? |

Jeff McNeil was the only lucky pup to get an all star nod. Overall the team seems disinterested in baseball at times. Usually when the mailman is dropping off letters at the Dog Park.
We're 43-53. |

While opening 9 packs today, I acquired the adoption rights for a TOTY 100 Juan Soto. Just my 4th perfect draw since the team's inception.
He looks like he could be a solid addition to my squad, but after seeing he's going for 50k on the open market, I'm considering just shipping him off to another home and then using the proceeds on historical packs. I'll probably think about it later over a few beers when I'm more apt to make impulse decisions. You know, like any quality GM of a baseball team does lol. Packs Opened- 666 Perfects- 4 (Sale, Mathewson, deGrom, Soto) Diamonds- 26 Golds- 71 Silvers- 180 |

We finished an unremarkable 69-93. Surprisingly though, that was middle of the pack and not in any danger of relegation. I'm floating my 100 Soto card out there for the night to see if there's any takers, if not I'll slot him into the lineup replacing DH Nelson Cruz.
Best In Show: Heinie Zimmerman .274 25HR 87RBI 31doubles (20/20 player) In the Doghouse: Jacob deGrom 5-17 5.89ERA Packs Opened- 675 Perfects- 4 Diamonds- 26 Golds- 72 Silvers- 184 |

The Terriers love all the holiday hoopla around the Dog Park. We're sitting at 51-47 and only a half game out of the division lead. Puckett, Rosen, and McNeil are off to the all-star game while the rest of us try to figure out who shredded the blow up Santa and reindeer display I had set up in the concourse.

Extra Extra, read all about it......The Hiram College Terriers have made the perfect league playoffs for the very first time!
It only took 38 seasons for my F2P pack only team to do it, but we did it! We didn't even have a winning record to boot. Heinie Zimmerman had a super season leading the league in homers and rbis and was the main cog in this years success. I'm sure we won't go far (I can easily envision a sweep), but I really don't care at this point |

Heinie went cold in the division series (1 for 11) and we got swept by the Seoul Trains. It doesn't matter though. There's still going to be a celebration party at the Dog Park!

Not only can Sliding Billy chase cats up trees, he can also tear up the base paths at the Dog Park!
