The guy who started this said he wants the name to be dreamers. I don't think they have a chance of getting a team unless the Rays move there. But since this is OOTP20 and we can pretty much do whatever we want. Why can't a guy dream?

I will accept that, but for your reference, "ummm" is typically used to imply tone.

Who? Jpeters or the friend at the bar?
If it's the friend at the bar, if my friend only likes automatic transmissions I wouldn't want some shady saleswoman selling him a stick shift would I? And if my friend decided he wanted to test drive a stick shift then that's ok too. As long as he knows what he's getting. If it's JPeters then he'll be fine. I'm sure he didn't lose a wink of sleep over what some guy on the internet said |

Exactly what's needed -- another MLB club in Florida.

I appreciate Pat Williams' enthusiasm but there's a zero percent chance MLB puts another team in Florida. MLB is more likely to put a team in Sheboygan than Orlando.

Maybe Orlando can build a Spring training facility? Cus they aren't getting a big league team unless the powers that be move Tb there in a crazy attempt to keep them in Florida

There's no ST in Orlando? I remember seeing the Royals play the Twins at Tinker Field as a kid; George Brett, Bo Jackson, Danny Tartabull, Kirby Puckett, etc.! |

The Braves have fled to Clearwater. There are no minor league teams there either. The FSL has the Florida Fire Frogs in Kissimmee which is pretty close. But they are on the chopping block right now.

Are the Threshers not still in Clearwater?

They are. The Braves are only there for Spring Training. The Threshers play at the Phillies spring training stadium. The Braves have their own.
Edit: Ah I see why you were asking. I meant there were no minor league teams in Orlando. I should have worded that better! Last edited by Mr. Marlin; 12-12-2019 at 09:13 AM. |

Lakeland is pretty close. Daytona? An hour up I-4 for a Tortugas game is a but much. Kissimme is only 30 min from downtown O with traffic. Jacksonville is every bit of three hours. Not close.
