I'd really prefer not to do the coaching for every game but having Malkin on the RW really hurts the Penguins. I tried editing his RW preference to 0 but it didn't affect the coach's desire to play him there. has anyone found a way to stop this from happening or is being the coach the only way?

also, do you as the coach have to set the players' roles every game or is there a way to save those from game to game. Phil Kessel is never going to do anything other than dangle.

Actually, I'm not sure what editing it to 0 will do - the usable range for positions is 1-20, I suspect setting it to 0 may just randomize it. 1 should keep him off RW, if not, let me know, because something's going wrong there.

The roles should stay the same from game to game, the only way they'd be removed is if the player is injured or scratched.

Setting it even below 12 should absolutely keep him off. At least in my test run.
