Trades by position

Is there an easy way to match needs with depth?

For example, say I need help at Catcher - should be able to just put a call out and those teams deep at Catcher who would be a good fit for a trade should (I would think) be front and centre?

Similarly, and just to note, when I look to 'shop around' say a Catcher, I often get teams propositioning me who are strong already at the catcher position?!

When I'm in position to shop like this, I go the league's player list, filter for catcher, make sure there is a column listed for team, and then sort by team, including any pertinent player details I need to include, e.g. Catcher Ability or Arm, and such. If I want to explore depth, I do the same, but check the include minors box, make sure League Level Short is checked in my custom filter, and then I can see, sorting by team, the depth any given team has available. It doesn't take as long as it may sound like it does. In fact, setting it up takes only a bit longer than it has to write this post.

Agree, though, that the trading system would be enhanced to include an option to shop for any given position, but it's a long way off, if ever, from being implemented. FWIW

A "shop for X" button would be great.

I don't do anything as fancy as endgame, I usually run a positional strength report and start from the team ranked first and go down, checking each organization until I find a likely candidate.

I do it pretty much the way Endgame does it, only just looking at stats.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
