Minor league teams signing MLB players to million dollar contracts - Why?

The oddest thing just happened, the St. Louis Cardinals Rookie team in Jupiter just signed a relief pitcher to an $8 million dollar contract...how does this happen?

True, but how do I stop minor league teams from buying free agents? How does the minor league team even have money to make this transaction?

That's really odd. You might want to check to make sure the FSL didn't become unaffiliated somehow. If it's still affiliated to the MLB, there should be no way for its teams to sign free agents.

That is one of the strangest things I've seen, the same Kris Medlen that's had two Tommy John surgeries but is a very effective pitcher when healthy?? Hmmm, not sure what to make of that!!

I thought the same thing and went through all the settings trying to figure out what I could have possibly selected to cause this to happen. This was a MLB quick start that I was planning on expanding but I hadn't made any changes to the league structure.

It doesn't matter now as I went ahead and deleted the league as I didn't know how to correct the matter.
