Individual Defensive Efficiency

Does anybody know where OOTP gets defensive efficiency for individuals? I get where team defensive efficiency comes from, but there's obviously a totally different formula in play for individuals, since values over 1 are very common.

I think individual defensive efficiency is something like percentage of plays made (outs, assists, etc.) relative to average for the position, where 1.000 is average. So, 1.010 would be 1% above average.

That's my guess too. I wish we had better defensive statistics in OOTP, to be honest (although I like ZR). Something like dWAR would be delightful.

That would basically make it a normalized ZR, but my subjective impression without looking too hard has been that EFF stabilizes more quickly than ZR.
