5/10 Guys Waiving No-Trade?
Has anyone ever had a 5/10 guy waive his no-trade? I never have, even with good players being on terrrrrrible teams with a chance to go to a winning team near the trade deadline.
Anyone?

Bench them until they're angry. Works like a charm, and if you're already losing, the morale hit the team takes for having a cancer in the locker room won't matter much.

Hah, but I'm the good team trying to get them!

I have (in OOTP 12), twice actually. The most recent time, I had a veteran shortstop on a 108-54 team that was to be a free agent, and I wanted to have the compensation draft picks, so I offered him arbitration after that season (so this is with the older rules), and he actually took the team to arbitration and pressed out a huge pile of money for a new 1-year deal.
The next season, for a variety of reasons, the team imploded capitally. Dumping below .400 in May, he eventually accepted a trade to a team that wasn't exactly winning, but was less terrible than mine. So, it is possible, but it won't happen too often.

When it does happen it may get missed. I've traded a couple and only realized after the fact.

2 things I'd like to see in the game. 1. Option to disable trade deadline. 2. Way to keep your personal from leaving at end of season. I press extend contract but nothing happens. I play with financial turned off if that matters.
