Sign-ups for new semi interactive league
Hi guys, with ootp 20 out I decided it's time to do another dynasty report. This will be set up as follows:
I will be using the United States only as my region. I will take 8 cities from Kansas and give them team names. Then I will have a balanced schedule where every team plays every other team 12 times, 6 home and 6 away, for an 84 game schedule. The interaction from you guys comes in here: Pick a state, give me 8 cities and 8 team names. Up to 12 states allowed. Will have an association and playoffs. Still figuring all details but right now just looking for sign-ups. 11 more states max, with 8 cities and team names. Want to start this tomorrow with whatever I can get, so get your states in quickly. Will figure out the settings later but I know I will be using reserve rosters |

Also, I am open to a league configuration that gives me a preloaded or imported schedule. If we need to change # of teams or games, we will

Alright, we have 3 states in, and I can add up to 9 more. I did a test run and found a pre-defined schedule that seems to work perfectly for 84 games, 6 home and 6 away for each team.
Now my question is do I go ahead and start creating the leagues and entering the teams? or do I wait? I'm excited to get this going. I'm assuming it won't be a problem to create extra leagues in the offseason? I don't want to screw things up once I get started. |

For those that choose a state, you are that states commissioner. You can decide state specific rules such as active roster size, reserve roster size, trades allowed, trade deadline, roster expansion deadline, etc.
Also, in the preseason, if your state consistently misses out on association championships, you can opt to release all players and have a fantasy draft for your states teams, to try to mix things up and maybe get the dominant team that can win not only a state championship, but an association championship. You will only be allowed to do this once every 4 seasons though. You will not actually be controlling any of the teams in your state, obviously, but the goal is to have your state win the most association championships. You are also free to rename any of your cities in the offseason, if you've missed a city that you would rather have part of this. Hopefully these changes will get more people involved in choosing a state. For those 2 that have chosen a state, please PM me the following info for how you would like your state rules set up: Active Roster Size: Reserve Roster Size: Expanded Roster Size: Roster Expansion Date: (Season will run from around May 1st to around mid-August) Injured List Length: Trading On/Off: If On, Trade Deadline Date: Allow Draft Pick Trading (Yes or No): Please PM me those rules. I will have to check, but I believe once I set an association, things like the amateur draft, and state playoffs will be universal. In the meantime, get the other rules PMed to me, and if anybody else wants to choose a state, go for it. |

Thanks! That at least gives us 4 states to start with. You can give me the logos and such, but honestly I'm terrible with graphics so you'd have to walk me through that process. For now, please get me your state rules.

If anybody else wants to sign up to be commissioner of a state, get me your state and cities and team names, I plan on setting up the initial season of this tomorrow. Also, for those who haven't already, please PM me the rules you want for your state, otherwise they will play this season with the default rules. Thanks.

Now I'll mess everything up and pick New Jersey!
Jersey City Newark Trenton Edison Cherry Hill Princeton Paterson Elizabeth Just give these teams random nicknames, it always takes me way too long to come up with good ones. |

You just beat the deadline for the first season. I'll get New Jersey in. That'll give us 6 states to start with. I will just give your state the default rules for the first season. All state commissioners are allowed to change rules, teams, playoffs, etc, in the offseason.
